BTS leader RM is the Best Male Idol Rapper in 2023!

For June 2023, we’ve asked our users in Kingchoice who is the Top Male K-Pop Idol Rapper for the year. The poll achieved over 9 million votes from fans all over the world.

Among the 30 nominees, BTS RM garnered the most votes with over 3.7 million. Last year, RM was not part of the top three. But this time, the public has decided that RM should take the throne and be the Top Male K-Pop Idol Rapper.

BTS members are currently busy with their individual activities. In June, RM was appointed as the Public Relations Ambassador for South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense Agency Remains Excavation and Investigation Team. This month as well, all the BTS members participated in the song “Take Two” as part of their 10th anniversary.

The second placer for the poll is the first placer last year and it’s none other than Super Junior’s Eunhyuk. Last year, he received over 2.6 million votes. Meanwhile this year, the Super Junior member got over 3.2 million votes. Although the votes increased, it was not enough for him to maintain the top spot.

Eunhyuk is currently busy with Super Junior, D&E, and also individual activities.

For the third spot, another BTS member won. Member Suga also got over 820,000 votes. He is the lead rapper of the group and definitely deserves to be on this spot. Suga is currently busy with his first solo world tour, the Suga Agust D Tour.

Jungkook’s Dreamers is Kingchoice’s Top Song for February 2023!

We might be a little sad because jungkook.97 is gone on Instagram but we have another thing to celebrate, ARMYs from all over the world! BTS member Jungkook topped Kingchoice’s Hot 50 World Songs for the month of February! 

Jungkook’s song Dreamers was released in November 2022 but even after four months, Kingchoice users still picked the song as their top favorite. It’s indeed a great song! 

If you’ve been following Jungkook and have been diligently watching him on his Weverse lives, maybe you can also share with him the good news that he topped Kingchoice’s poll! 

The second runner-up for the Hot 50 World Songs is none other than Super Junior. It doesn’t matter if their song “Celebrate” was released in the Christmas season, the message of the song is still relevant any day because it’s the celebration of Super Junior’s journey and gratefulness to ELFs who have been with them through it all. This is not the first time that the song ranked high on our poll. It really proves that the song is not only loved by ELFs but also by Kingchoice users. 

Meanwhile, Super Junior is currently busy filming for their Saudi Arabia travel show.

Super Junior’s SuperBong is 2022’s Best KPop Lightstick!

Another achievement from Super Junior and Worldwide ELFs! For our August poll, Super Junior topped two of them. First is the leader of KPop and now, the best KPop lightstick for the year! 

SuperBong, Super Junior’s current lightstick garnered over 81,200 votes. Throughout the month, the fight on the poll was fierce but eventually, SuperBong won.

Currently, SuperBong is widely used especially now that Super Junior is on their world tour for Super Show 9 concert. 

With over 66,000 votes, CNBLUE Jung Yonghwa’s lightstick ranked second. This is the solo lightstick of CNBLUE’s leader. It was released in 2020. Meanwhile, Jung Yonghwa last released a solo album in 2020. He is currently focusing on CNBLUE and acting. Yonghwa will be part of the upcoming dramas It’s You, Out of the Blue, and Brain Cooperation. 

The third runner-up is BLACKPINK’s Bbyongbong. The lightstick received over 73,000 votes. Just like ELFs, BLINKs all over the world will soon be able to use their lightsticks as BLACKPINK will begin their world tour in October. 

Other lightsticks that entered the top 10 are from the groups Astro, Red Velvet, TWICE, Bigbang, SHINee, iKON, and BTS.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk is hailed as the best KPop Leader of 2022!

With over 860,000 votes for the whole month of August, Kingchoice users have picked the best KPop leader of 2022. It’s none other than Super Junior’s leader, Leeteuk!

Leeteuk received a total of 417,414 from our Kingchoice users. Many agreed that Leeteuk is really one of the best leaders. Imagine handling a huge group? We give all the respect to Leeteuk. 

Aside from being a Super Junior member and leader, Leeteuk also has a lot of gigs. He is the MC for several Korean variety programs. Meanwhile, Super Junior is currently on tour for their Super Show 9. 

Second on the poll is also from SM Entertainment. It’s none other than DBSK/TVXQ’s leader, Yunho. He received over 220,000 votes. Last February, Yunho released his second Japanese album, You Go Ahead. He also recently participated in the family concert of SM Entertainment. 

Aside from that, Yunho is set to return to dramas after five years through the upcoming series “Race.” 

The third runner in the poll is BTS’ one and only leader, RM. The top star received over 56,000 votes. Many are already anticipating the free concert of BTS for the World Expo 2030.

Dreamcatcher’s Gahyeon is the best maknae for 2022!

It’s the maknae’s time! If you didn’t know, Maknae is the Korean term for youngest. In k-pop groups, the maknae position is usually highlighted. They are sometimes babied by the group and even by their fans. We asked our users to pick the best maknae in K-Pop. It garnered over 2.5 million votes for 50 nominees. 

According to Kingchoice users, the best k-pop maknae for this year is none other than Dreamcatcher’s Gahyeon. Gahyeon received over 1 million votes. Gahyeon didn’t debut together at the same time as the other members of Dreamcatcher. She was added in 2017 after the company debuted Minx into Dreamcatcher. Even though she’s the late addition to the group, many still treat her as the maknae of the group

Gahyeon is the youngest out of the 7 members of Dreamcatcher. Aside from being the maknae, she is also the lead rapper and sub-vocalist. 

Dreamcatcher recently held their 2022 Dreamcatcher World Tour [Apocalypse: Save Us] wherein they went on tour to the cities of Pennsylvania, Louisville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.

The second runner-up is Super Junior’s Cho Kyuhyun. Yes, the idol is in his 30s but still, he is picked as the second best maknae among even the younger idols. Cho Kyuhyun received over 979,000 votes among other nominees. It was a close fight with the first runner up but eventually, Kyuhyun got second place for 2022. 

Kyuhyun is the last member to be added to the group, Super Junior. Unlike the other members, Kyuhyun made his debut after a few months since Super Junior was presented to the public. He is the youngest in the group and is often called by the members and fans as the “Evil Maknae.” Not because he is the epitome of evil but because of his savageness to the members despite him being the maknae. 

Super Junior recently released their 11th studio album “The Road: Keep on Going.” Currently, the group is having a tour for their Super Show 9 concert. 

The third placer for the poll is BTS’ maknae, Jeon Jungkook. He received over 106,000 votes out of 2.5 million votes. Jungkook is known as the golden maknae of BTS. He is labeled as the golden maknae because everything he does, he nails it. If Jungkook puts his heart into something, he will definitely do well in it. 

Recently, Jungkook collaborated with Charlie Puth for the song “Left and Right.” BTS members are currently pursuing solo activities but they still get together from time to time with their group activities.

BTS Jimin’s OST track is the most loved song in June!

We’re here again with the Hot 50 World Songs for the month of June. Last month, Super Junior dominated the poll. For the month of June, ARMYs snatched the top spot and made Jimin’s song With You the top song! 

Despite the song not being an official promotion of Jimin, it still got the hearts of Kingchoice users. BTS Jimin’s With You received over 1.1 million votes out of 2.6 million voters from the poll. 

Jimin’s “With You” was released as part of the original soundtrack of tvN drama “Our Blues.” The song also featured Jimin’s real-life friend, idol Ha Sung Woon. 

Meanwhile, BTS members are currently pursuing their individual activities. 

Second on the poll is SOS by Dimash. The song was released in 2019 and up until this day, Kngchoice users still listen to the song. The track garnered over 1 million votes from our users. There is still no news on whether Dimash will release a new song this year. 

The third runner-up for June’s Hot 50 World Song is none other than Super Junior’s Callin. It seems like even though Super Junior is already set to release another album, Callin is still in the playlists of not just ELFs but also other Kingchoice users. Last month, Callin got over 1.8 million votes. This June, Callin still achieved over 270,000 votes from our users.  

Other songs that ranked high on our poll are Dreamcatcher’s Maison, BIGBANG’s Still Life, Red Velvet’s Feel My Rythm, Ninety One’s Oinamoqo, and more.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk is not only a great dancer but also got picked as the Best Male Idol Rapper in 2022!

For June 2022, we’ve asked our users in Kingchoice who’s the Top Male K-Pop Idol Rapper. The poll received over 5.6 million votes all over the world. 

Among the nominees, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk took the number one spot and received over 2.6 million votes. Last month, he was also in high ranking for the Best K-Pop Male Idol Dancer. It seems like Kingchoice users know well how talented Eunhyuk is! 

Eunhyuk is the main rapper of Super Junior. He almost always sings the rap parts of their songs. He is also the rapper on the subunit Super Junior D&E. Although Eunhyuk is known as a great rapper and dancer, the artist is also good at singing. Even in their pre-release music video for the song “Don’t Wait,” Eunhyuk sang the chorus part. 

Meanwhile, his group Super Junior is set to make a comeback on July 12 with their full album “The Road: Keep on Going.”

The second placer for the poll is one of the most popular k-pop idols in the industry. It’s none other than BIGBANG’s G-Dragon. G-Dragon garnered over 2.5 million votes from Kingchoice users. Despite G-Dragon’s long hiatus as a solo singer, many of our users still believed that he is indeed one of the best rappers in the idol industry. Don’t worry because it seems like the BIGBANG member will finally release a solo soon. G-Dragon recently hinted that is making his music. So make sure to get updated with GD! 

For the third spot, maybe some of you will be shocked that he even is a rapper. Super Junior’s Heechul took the third spot in the poll. Newer fans of Korean entertainment might not know that Heechul is actually one of the rappers of Super Junior and he is also not a gagman even though he is almost always in several variety shows. But yes, Heechul is a decent rapper. And he got over 153,000 votes from Kingchoice users. 

Heechul will be joining the upcoming full album release of Super Junior. But Heechul will not be participating in the upcoming concerts of the group.

Super Junior’s “Callin” is the most picked for Hot 50 World Song May 2022!

For the month of May, Super Junior became the top one on our Hot 50 World Songs. Their first release of 2022 called “Callin” got over 598,000 votes from Kingchoice users. 

“Callin” was released on February 28, 2022. It was included in Super Junior’s single album titled The Road: Winter for Spring.

This was their first release as a group in 2022. This was also their first time in a while to have a title track that is a ballad track. 

Despite the song being released several months, it seems like fans of Super Junior and other users of Kingchoice still enjoyed listening to the track “Callin,” Out of 1.8 million votes for the poll, the majority of our users picked Callin’. 

After releasing Callin, the nine members of Super Junior are focused on their individual activities such as variety shows, musicals, solo releases, OSTs, and many more. 

The second hot song for the month of May is from Dreamcatcher. Yes, Insomnias! You’re included once again in the top three. This time, Dreamcatcher’s latest release titled “Maison” entered our top three. 

For this year, Dreamcatcher’s songs have dominated our polls. Like their songs Odd Eye and Because. 

Last April, after several months of hiatus, Dreamcatcher returned and released their song, Maison. Because of this song, Dreamcatcher also received its first-ever trophy on the music show since its debut. 

Third, on the poll is none other than BLACKPINK Lisa’s solo song Money. It’s already been over 8 months since Money has been released but it is still one of the most listened-to songs by Kingchoice users for the month of May. Lisa’s Money garnered over 319,000 votes. The song was actually not the title track of their solo debut Lisa. “Money” was a b-side song and still became successful not only in Korean audiences but also in global fans. Meanwhile, after two years of group hiatus, BLACKPINK is finally returning this year. The girls will reportedly have a new release as early as June. No other details have been revealed yet regarding their full promotions.

The Top K-Pop Idol Vocalist for 2022 is Super Junior’s Yesung!

Over 16 million votes were cast for Kingchoice’s poll titled “100 KPOP Idol Vocalists Ranking 2022,” but there’s only one final winner, and it’s none other than Super Junior’s main vocalist, Yesung. 

Yesung achieved over 6.8 million votes from Kingchoice’s users. This is the first time that Yesung topped the Top K-Pop Idol Vocalist Poll. Yesung is one of the main vocals in Super Junior. It’s not a secret that his voice is one of the best among idol singers up until today. 

Even his stage name speaks for itself. His name Yesung also means art-like voice. Yesung is one of the main vocals of Super Junior. If you hear a clean high note on a Super Junior’s song, it’s most likely Yesung who’s singing it. He is also part of the ballad subunit of the group called Super Junior KRY. He also had his solo debut and has released several albums. Yesung is also known for singing OSTs on K-Dramas. Yesung’s iconic song would be the OST for Cinderella’s Sister. 

For this year, Yesung has participated in the February comeback of Super Junior. The group released the track, Callin. And as expected, Yesung once again proved that he is one of the main vocals of the group. 

This coming August, Yesung together with Super Junior and other SM Entertainment artists will be part of a concert in Japan. 

The second runner-up on the poll is none other than worldwide handsome, Kim Seokjin. He garnered over 6 million votes. 

Jin is the lead vocalist of BTS. Although he is not the main, many users of Kingchoice voted for and trusted him to be one of the top K-Pop Idol vocalists of the year.

Jin has always been nominated and almost always in the top ten on our polls about visuals, dance skills, other talents, and more. And as expected, his vocals are also appreciated by our users. 

Jin is currently preparing for a BTS comeback this coming June. 

The third spot goes to Astro’s MJ. He is the main vocalist of Astro. In Astro, MJ is the most active in activities that use his singing skills. He goes on musicals and even a competition program for a trot. Although many loved MJ’s voice, we won’t be able to hear it that much because he is set to enter the military on May 9. He will be on hiatus as an ASTRO member and will fulfill his duty as a Korean citizen. 

Aside from the three, most of the artists that also got high votes on the poll are SM Entertainment. Artists. They dominated the top 10 spots. Aside from Yesung, Kyuhyun, Yunho, Joy, Ryeowook, Changmin, and Donghae also ranked high in the 100 KPOP Idol Vocalists Ranking 2022 poll. Another BTS member also joined the top 10 spots and it’s none other than BTS’ main vocal, Jungkook.

The 2022 Visual King of K-Pop is a Super Junior member!

Super Junior fans! Two members of Super Junior made it to the top three of the Visual King of K-Pop for 2022. And of course, a BTS member should rightfully be on the top three on the list, right? 

Here at Kingchoice, we conducted a poll to know who is the Visual King of K-Pop for the year 2022. There were several K-Pop idols who got nominated and among all of them, Super Junior Donghae took first place. 

Lee Donghae is hailed as the Visual King of K-Pop for 2022. He garnered over 12 million votes from March 1 to March 31, 2022. 

It’s not new to everyone that Lee Donghae is one of the best visuals among the Super Junior members. And it was also evident that our users chose Lee Donghae to be the Visual King for the year. He’s been on the top-ranking the whole month the poll was ongoing. 

Lee Donghae recently released a track with Super Junior titled “Callin.” They made a comeback in February. He is currently busy hosting Naver Now with Super Junior member Eunhyuk.

The 2nd runner-up for the Visual King of KPop title is none other than the worldwide handsome himself, BTS Kim Seokjin. Although he didn’t take the first spot, he gave a good fight by achieving over 11.9 million votes from our users. Of course, he is called the worldwide handsome so he should really be in the top three right? 

This is not the first time that Kim Seokjin has been part of the top rankings on our yearly Visual King of Kpop poll. Last year, he was hailed as the Visual King of K-Pop with 2.5 million votes. He was also part of the top 5 in 2020 with 365,000 votes. In 2022, the fight was fierce and Kim Seokjin failed to win. He lacked over 70,000 votes to be in the first place. 

Meanwhile, BTS is currently in the United States because they are going to attend Grammy Awards. 

 The third placer for the Visual King Of K-Pop is another Super Junior member. It’s none other than Choi Siwon who is actually the face of Super Junior. Choi Siwon got over 100,000 votes. Choi Siwon is currently busy with the variety program “My Little Old Boy.” He also recently released his collaboration track “Riding” with the duo UV.
