Dreamcatcher’s Yoohyeon dominates the HOT 100 KPOP IDOLS RANKING 2022 poll!

It was a very close fight for the first spot but Dreamcatcher’s lead vocalist Yoohyeon officially dominated the Hot 100 Kpop Idols Ranking at the end.

Over 4.2 million votes were received for the whole poll and Yoohyeon got the highest one with 1,490,922 votes. It’s all thanks to InSomnias right?

Another thing that InSomnias made happen is that we can still see Dreamcatcher as a whole for more years because the girls announced back in November that they have renewed their contract with their agency. All 7 of them including our Hot Kpop Idol Yoohyeon decided to continue and walk with Dreamcatcher Company for more years.

The second runner-up of Kingchoice’s poll is none other than BTS’ main dancer Jimin. The top idol also received a huge amount of votes with 1,420, 939. It only has a little difference with number one. Last year, Jimin holds the top spot but in 2022, he failed to maintain his position.

It seems like Jimin will always be among the top ones in any polls, lists, and even, streams. It was also recently revealed that Jimin’s solo track With You placed second in Spotify South Korea’s most streamed K-Pop songs.

Meanwhile, the other nominees that entered the top 10 of Hot 100 Kpop Idols Ranking are TVXQ’s Yunho, NCT’s Lucas, Red Velvet’s Irene, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, BTS Jungkook, TVXQ’s Changmin, Super Junior’s Heechul, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

Dreamcatcher’s JiU is hailed as the #1 in THE 100 MOST BEAUTIFUL FACES IN KPOP for 2022!

Among 4.2 million votes cast for our poll “THE 100 MOST BEAUTIFUL FACES IN KPOP 2022,” Dreamcatcher’s JiU got the most votes. 

Among the 100 beautiful nominees, JiU got the most with over 2.5 million votes. We cannot complain because indeed, JiU is really one of the most beautiful active idols in the industry. 

To see more of JiU’s beauty, her group Dreamcatcher recently revealed that they are releasing a new album titled “Apocalypse : Follow us.” The girls are releasing several teasers including JiU’s beautiful photos. Make sure to support their comeback, InSomnias! 

The second artist to lead the poll is our “Visual Queen in KPop 2022” winner, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. She received over 980,000 votes. Her group BLACKPINK recently released their song Shut Down and it already received its 3rd music show trophy. Aside from being a BLACKPINK member, Jisoo is also busy promoting the global brands, Cartier and Dior. She was recently spotted at the brands’ events. 

The third spot went to Red Velvet’s Irene, the original visual. She received over 240,000 votes. Other nominees that entered the top 10 were Lapillus Chanty, LE SSERAFIM Kazuha, Momoland Nancy, BLACKPINK Lisa, TWICE Tzuyu, Red Velvet Yeri, and TWICE’s Jeongyeon.

Dreamcatcher once again won Kingchoice’s Hot 50 World Songs Poll!

Another month has ended and a new artist took the number one spot on our Hot 50 World Songs Poll!

For the month of September, Dreamcatcher returns to the top spot after seven months! Sarah Geronimo gained more votes for this month and maintained the second spot. Lastly, Korea’s current top boy group BTS joined the top three for September!

For this month, Dreamcatcher snatched the crown for the first place. Their song Maison garnered the most votes with over 61,000 votes. Maison was released in April 2022 but still, many Kingchoice users liked it until now. Back in February, Dreamcatcher also won our poll Hot 50 World Songs Poll with their song Odd Eye. 

Another good news for InSomnias, the girls are returning with a new album this October. Make sure to tune in to the release of their upcoming mini album “Apocalypse : Follow us.” 

The second runner-up is none other than Sarah Geronimo. This is the second time that she got nominated and this is also the second time that she’s in second place. Her latest single Duyan was voted by Kingchoice users over 15,300 times. The song was released in the Philippines last July 2022. 

BTS’ song Yet To Come got the third spot. This song achieved over 10,000 votes. Yet To Come was released in June 2022. For the month of October, many are already anticipating seeing BTS in a concert once again. The group will be performing at WORLD EXPO 2030 BUSAN KOREA CONCERT.

Dimash is not a Stranger here in Kingchoice as he sweeps the HOT 50 WORLD SONGS AUGUST Poll!

August just ended, which artist dominated our Hot 50 World Songs Poll?

For the month of August, Dimash and Dreamcatcher once again are in the top three together with the new addition, which is the famous Filipino singer and actress, Sarah Geronimo. For the month of August, over 200,000 votes came in for our Hot 50 World Songs Poll. 

Among them, Dimash got the most votes. Dimash’s Stranger which placed second last month finally got the top spot. If you didn’t know, Dimash is a Kazakh singer and he defeated mostly K-Pop artists in the poll. 

In other news, Dimash will be having his concert tour Stranger on September 23, 2022, at the Central Stadium in Almaty, Kazakhstan. 

Meanwhile, another great contender ranked high on the HOT 50 WORLD SONGS for August. Dreamcatcher’s latest track Maison ranked second on the poll with over 20,000 votes. The girls released Maison in April 2022. Despite the song being released after several months, many still picked the song on our poll. We can’t wait to see the next comeback of Dreamcatcher! 

The third runner-up is none other than Philippine’s top singer, Sarah Geronimo. The singer-actress garnered over 11,000 votes. Her song Duyan was released on July 2022. 

Other songs that entered the top 10 are NCT Dream’s Beatbox, BTS’ Yet To Come, Super Junior’s Mango, and more.

Dreamcatcher’s Gahyeon is the best maknae for 2022!

It’s the maknae’s time! If you didn’t know, Maknae is the Korean term for youngest. In k-pop groups, the maknae position is usually highlighted. They are sometimes babied by the group and even by their fans. We asked our users to pick the best maknae in K-Pop. It garnered over 2.5 million votes for 50 nominees. 

According to Kingchoice users, the best k-pop maknae for this year is none other than Dreamcatcher’s Gahyeon. Gahyeon received over 1 million votes. Gahyeon didn’t debut together at the same time as the other members of Dreamcatcher. She was added in 2017 after the company debuted Minx into Dreamcatcher. Even though she’s the late addition to the group, many still treat her as the maknae of the group

Gahyeon is the youngest out of the 7 members of Dreamcatcher. Aside from being the maknae, she is also the lead rapper and sub-vocalist. 

Dreamcatcher recently held their 2022 Dreamcatcher World Tour [Apocalypse: Save Us] wherein they went on tour to the cities of Pennsylvania, Louisville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.

The second runner-up is Super Junior’s Cho Kyuhyun. Yes, the idol is in his 30s but still, he is picked as the second best maknae among even the younger idols. Cho Kyuhyun received over 979,000 votes among other nominees. It was a close fight with the first runner up but eventually, Kyuhyun got second place for 2022. 

Kyuhyun is the last member to be added to the group, Super Junior. Unlike the other members, Kyuhyun made his debut after a few months since Super Junior was presented to the public. He is the youngest in the group and is often called by the members and fans as the “Evil Maknae.” Not because he is the epitome of evil but because of his savageness to the members despite him being the maknae. 

Super Junior recently released their 11th studio album “The Road: Keep on Going.” Currently, the group is having a tour for their Super Show 9 concert. 

The third placer for the poll is BTS’ maknae, Jeon Jungkook. He received over 106,000 votes out of 2.5 million votes. Jungkook is known as the golden maknae of BTS. He is labeled as the golden maknae because everything he does, he nails it. If Jungkook puts his heart into something, he will definitely do well in it. 

Recently, Jungkook collaborated with Charlie Puth for the song “Left and Right.” BTS members are currently pursuing solo activities but they still get together from time to time with their group activities.

BTS Jimin’s “With You” is the hottest song of July!

Another month ended, and Kingchoice users have picked once again which is the hottest song for the month of July! 

It seems like for the month of June and July, our users are really into BTS Jimin’s song “With You.” Out of over 1.9 million votes, “With You” garnered over 927,000 votes. The votes decrease from last month but still, it maintained the top 1 position as the hottest song. 

Despite the drama “Our Blues” from which the song came from, ended, many Kingchoice users still picked “With You” as the hottest song for July. Congratulations Jimin! Your song is well loved by Kingchoice voters~

The second runner-up for the poll HOT 50 WORLD SONGS JULY 2022 is Dimash’s song, Stanger. Again, just like last month, Dimash placed second on the Hot 50 World Songs. But this time, it’s not his song SOS. His song Stranger became the second runner in the poll. Dimash released Stranger in 2021 and up to this day, it is well loved by Kingchoice users. 

We can’t wait to hear new songs from Dimash! We’ll be waiting~

The 2022 Top Female KPOP Idol Rapper is from Dreamcatcher!

One of the aspects that made K-Pop unique is, that almost every k-pop group consists of a rapper position. Whether it’s a male or female group, a rapper is almost always present. 

Here in Kingchoice, we held a month-long poll and asked our users to vote on which female k-pop idol is the best rapper. 

Over 2.2 million votes were cast and finally, here’s the result:

Out of all the nominees, Dreamcatcher’s Dami got first place! Over 721,000 votes were given to Dami. She fought closely with the second runner up but still in the end, Dami got the first spot. 

Dami is the main rapper of the girl group Dreamcatcher from Dreamcatcher Company (formerly Happyface Entertainment). Dami debuted in 2017 together with other members. She is part of the first members to debut in the group (formerly called as Minx). 

Before Dami became a k-pop idol, she first trained for one and a half years. 

Her group Dreamcatcher recently released a new album called Apocalypse: Save Us and its lead single “Maison.”

Dreamcatcher is set to have their world tour. Their first stop is America and they will be in the cities: Pennsylvania, Louisville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.

The second runner-up of the poll is none other than BLACKPINK’s Lisa. Despite Lisa not being the main rapper of BLACKPINK, many of Kingchoice’s users chose her as one of the best female rappers in the industry. With only a few differences, Lisa got ranked second in the Kingchoice’s Female rapper poll. 

BLACKPINK’s Lisa garnered over 700,000 votes from our users. Just last month, Lisa also dominated our poll regarding the best female idol dancer. It’s a shame that Lisa didn’t get to achieve the back-to-back win but still, she ranked high in our latest poll. 

Lisa and other BLACKPINK members are currently busy with their individual schedules. It was also revealed that BLACKPINK will finally return to the K-pop scene this year as a full group. 

ITZY Ryujin got third place in the poll. She received over 190,000 votes. Other female idols that entered the top 10 are CLC Yeeun, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, TWICE Dahyun, Red Velvet Irene, MOMOLAND Hyebin, and TWICE’s Chaeyoung.

Super Junior’s “Callin” is the most picked for Hot 50 World Song May 2022!

For the month of May, Super Junior became the top one on our Hot 50 World Songs. Their first release of 2022 called “Callin” got over 598,000 votes from Kingchoice users. 

“Callin” was released on February 28, 2022. It was included in Super Junior’s single album titled The Road: Winter for Spring.

This was their first release as a group in 2022. This was also their first time in a while to have a title track that is a ballad track. 

Despite the song being released several months, it seems like fans of Super Junior and other users of Kingchoice still enjoyed listening to the track “Callin,” Out of 1.8 million votes for the poll, the majority of our users picked Callin’. 

After releasing Callin, the nine members of Super Junior are focused on their individual activities such as variety shows, musicals, solo releases, OSTs, and many more. 

The second hot song for the month of May is from Dreamcatcher. Yes, Insomnias! You’re included once again in the top three. This time, Dreamcatcher’s latest release titled “Maison” entered our top three. 

For this year, Dreamcatcher’s songs have dominated our polls. Like their songs Odd Eye and Because. 

Last April, after several months of hiatus, Dreamcatcher returned and released their song, Maison. Because of this song, Dreamcatcher also received its first-ever trophy on the music show since its debut. 

Third, on the poll is none other than BLACKPINK Lisa’s solo song Money. It’s already been over 8 months since Money has been released but it is still one of the most listened-to songs by Kingchoice users for the month of May. Lisa’s Money garnered over 319,000 votes. The song was actually not the title track of their solo debut Lisa. “Money” was a b-side song and still became successful not only in Korean audiences but also in global fans. Meanwhile, after two years of group hiatus, BLACKPINK is finally returning this year. The girls will reportedly have a new release as early as June. No other details have been revealed yet regarding their full promotions.

ASTRO’s After Midnight is the hottest song for April 2022!

April has ended and as usual, we’re wrapping up our monthly poll “HOT 50 WORLD SONGS.”

The first quarter of the year is officially over and the second quarter started with a male group dominating the HOT 50 WORLD SONGS. For the first few months of 2022, it has always been female idol groups who won our HOT 50 WORLD SONGS poll. But now, it’s the boys’ time to shine.

Over 1.1 million votes were used on our HOT 50 WORLD SONGS APRIL 2022 poll and ASTRO from Fantagio Entertainment got the most votes out of 50 nominees. ASTRO’s After Midnight got over 370,000 votes taking the top spot in the poll.

After Midnight was released on August 2, 2021. Although months have passed, Kingchoice users still picked the track as the hottest song for April. We can’t blame them, the song is really good plus the visuals on the music video are on point!

And if you enjoyed After Midnight, wait a little bit longer because ASTRO will release another bop this May. ASTRO will unveil their full-length album Drive to the Starry Road with the title track “Candy Sugar Pop” on May 16.

The second placer and was officially dethroned by ASTRO is none other than Dreamcatcher. The group has been dominating Kingchoice’s HOT 50 WORLD SONGS for months now. Although this time, they didn’t snag the first spot, Dreamcatcher’s Because still got high votes and ranked second. The song got over 84,000 votes. Last month, Because ranked first.

Meanwhile, Dreamcatcher recently released their new album Apocalypse: Save Us with the title track “Maison.”

The third runner-up on the poll is none other than BLACKPINK’s Rosé. Her solo song “Gone” is still loved by Kingchoice users even though it has been released several months ago.” Gone” garnered over 77,000 votes. BLACKPINK will be returning soon. According to reports, the girls will release a new track as early as June.
