Six K-pop girl groups all dropped new music in the same month, and yes, the chaos was very much worth it. BABYMONSTER opened May with the dance-forward CHOOM era. I.O.I returned for the first time in nine years with a full group mini. aespa closed the month with LEMONADE and the G-Dragon collab WDA. LE SSERAFIM delivered a full reset. NMIXX kept their MIXX POP identity sharp. ITZY stayed in their lane and made it work. The May 2026 girl group showdown asks a simple question: which of these six groups delivered the month?
