It is incredibly disheartening because this systematic exclusion is exactly why Merries lose all their hope and motivation to keep voting. Our fandom has proven its dedication time and time again, and the girls have an undeniable track record on this exact platform that you simply cannot erase. Last year alone, Nancy achieved a massive milestone by pulling in over 1 million votes. Not only that, but Jane proudly ranked 2nd for Best Dancer, Hyebin secured 2nd place for Best Rapper, and Hyebin also took the 3rd spot for Best Leader. When the members have consistently dominated the top spots through the pure effort of their fans, suddenly erasing MOMOLAND and its members from the categories completely discourages the community. It leaves everyone feeling like their hard work from the previous year meant nothing. How can a platform claim to fairly rank the best in K-pop while completely shutting out artists who have already proven they belong at the very top? It looks less like a fair poll and more like an intentional attempt to push them out. The fans deserve to know why a group with this much history and voting power is suddenly being completely ignored.
