About SinRin
Kim So-jung (Sowon) and Jung Eun-bi (Eunha) were both members of GFRIEND, the six-member girl group that debuted under Source Music in 2015 and became one of the most acclaimed girl groups of the mid-2010s through their clean choreography, powerful synchronized performances, and a series of chart-topping tracks. Sowon served as GFRIEND's leader and tallest member — a combination that gave her a distinctive presence in the group. Eunha was GFRIEND's lead vocalist, celebrated for a bright, clear tone that anchored many of the group's melodic lines (she went on to take a main vocalist role in her later group VIVIZ). Their height contrast and complementary personalities made them a natural pairing within GFRIEND's fan community (BUDDY). GFRIEND's exclusive contract with Source Music ended in May 2021 and the group did not continue under the label. Eunha, SinB, and Umji later formed the trio VIVIZ under BPM Entertainment in 2022; Sowon pursued an acting career. Despite the separation, Sowon has spoken publicly about the members remaining close, attending VIVIZ events together and keeping in regular contact. In 2024, it was announced that GFRIEND would reunite to celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2025.
Sowon and Eunha are one of several GFRIEND member pairings the BUDDY fandom has warmly followed. Fan interest in GFRIEND member bonds has carried through the group's post-Source Music chapter, and the announced 2025 reunion re-energised those communities, including fans who followed Sowon and Eunha's dynamic throughout the group's active years.
