The Legend of the Blue Sea is a 2016-2017 South Korean fantasy romance television drama starring Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun. The series tells the love story of a con-artist and a mermaid who travels across the ocean to find him, inspired by a classic Joseon legend. It became one of the highest-rated Korean dramas internationally and achieved massive success across Asia.
