JR (Kim Jonghyun) is the leader and rapper of NU'EST, the five-member K-pop group that debuted under Pledis Entertainment in 2012. He appeared on Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, where the group gained renewed popularity. NU'EST officially disbanded in 2022.
